o2 sensor? gsr into 95 cx swap....will i be in limp mode?
im almost done with my gsr swap into my 95 civic cx, but im not sure what to do with the o2 sensor. do i keep the sensor from my civic? use the one from the gsr? im using the cx engine harness also. if i need to run wires for the gsr o2 sensor. where do i run them? id rather use the cx o2 sensor because thats the only one i have right now and dont want to have to get a brand new o2 sensor. im anxious to get this running and this is one of the only things holding me back at the moment.

which O2 you use it depending on which ECU you are using.
If you're using the GSR's P72 then you need the standard honda 4-wire O2.
If you're using a chipped ECU, it all depends on what it's setup for.

You can use the 1-wire sensor, but it will throw a code because the GSR ECU is looking for the heating element. I'm not absolutely positive, but I've read that the ECU won't go into limp mode if only the heater is not present. It just reduces the effectiveness of the O2 sensor during warm-up...
You should know right away because the car won't rev over 4k if your in limp mode. I would try it as a temporary fix until I can get the 4-wire sensor & wire it up...
I could be wrong about limp mode though...

O2 heater CEL will cause rich/retard conditions but will not throw in the 4k rev limiter.
you can use a high wattage resistor to feel the ECU into thinking the O2 heater is there also. But a 4-wire O2 is the better way to go.
black wires - heater, doesn't matter which is which. One to ECU O2 heater control, other to 12V power.
green - ground
white - O2 signal - to ECU
