Re: NPR pistons and piston rings
I've used NPR pistons twice before and in my current engine. They are an OEM supplier of various parts and work fine in my cases.

Are they located in Japan? If so, how long does it take to receive the parts? Also, how do you order from them? Do you just request information and purchase through e-mail or?

Re: NPR pistons and piston rings
yes! they are specialized in rings but they do make pistons! I'm real picky when it comes to my car parts but i'm short on money so i might go with these! i already did alot of research on them and i've only heard good things! And + you cant go wrong with the price. Order them from ebay!

Re: NPR pistons and piston rings
I know this thread is old as ****, but I found this on google, and others will search NPR rings and come to this thread.
My motor was built about 5k miles ago with NPR type R reps, and NPR rings in 81mm bore. Cylinder walls were rehoned by a very reputable motor builder in my area and were not said to be in very bad shape. The car burns quite a bit of oil, about a Qt. every 1000miles. I'd be very leary when using NPR rings, after my experience with them, and would have gone oem knowing what I know now.

anyone using these in a high power setup? i need some rings to go with my wiseco pistons. I don't want to have to rip the head off again anytime soon if they fail.

Re: NPR pistons and piston rings
thread is old but i'll add to it for later search. the valve stem seals are part of it, the other is cylinder out of round. bores may LOOK good but unless you measure for out of round a new hone will only seal so well. unless you have something special using the 81mm kits rather than the 81.5mm kit is touchy. a real bore and hone will correct those problems

Re: NPR pistons and piston rings
Hey guys I just bought some standard 81mm npr rings for my b18c1 re ring / bearing job. So far all my bearings are great and new fit perfect with good clearance BUT MY RINGS’ HAVE A .20 top ring and .32 SECOND RING!?!?!? IS THIS NORMAL ??? Thank you!!!

Re: NPR pistons and piston rings
I have the same problem. Ring end gap was way bigger than oem spec. I know this thread is old, but is there another newer thread that someone can link me too? Need to know what to do with these rings???

Re: NPR pistons and piston rings
Hi folks, it is preferable to create new threads instead of bumping long dead old ones. Please remember to put some thought into the title when creating the thread as well, both so it attracts people who can answer your question, but also so other folks who have a similar question can find your thread easily in the future. Thank you.
