Default Not smashing header bottom.

I'm getting ready to install my new header on my 00 Si and I was wondering if anybody makes a skid plate to protect it from getting bent at the bottom like I see so many pics of posted. Yes, I know the obvious answere would be not to scrap the nose of the car....

what header?? I have the fastline performance skidplate for the JDM 4-1

It will only fit the JDM 4-1 header w/o modifications- I would guess you would be able to fix it up to mount to a DC, no garuntees though.

go here for more info- www.fastlineperformance.com

later

The header is a DC 4-1 for a Type-R, its going in a 00 Si w/B18C5 and I was worried about it being lower than a regular Si header.

It looks aluminum, probably not more than 2 pounds, if that.

Shouldn't be too hard to fabricate one similar for other applications in a machine shop.

That looks nice but by the same token it looks to take away one to two inches of ground clearance (from the orginal distance between the header and ground).

I was wondering if it was possible to just make your own skidplate. I suppose it's possible.

Red bar is a Z10 engineering traction bar.

I got the fastline unit on my ITR headers, works great, weighs about 2 lbs total.
