alright my buddy has a del sol with a d16y8 (intake, header and exhaust) ..when you try to launch it (i tried it at 3000 rpms ) it'll chirp the tires move about 4 inches then it acts like it wants to die then before you now it its runin fine when you shift to 2nd you barely feel it do the same thing but not neer as noticable could it be he doesnt have enough back pressure???(he has a huge muffler ...and i wanna say 2.5 exaust pipe ) but thats alli could think of at the time ...? haas any one ever heard of anything like this?

It's because you are bogging it. You don't launch at 3000 RPMs. On a stock Civic motor, that is all you do. Bog.

.....hmm i launch mine like that all the time and ive never felt that and ive got the d15 ...so if you do , what rpms do you launch at?

i got the same problem with my b16, i tryed letting it remap it by itself but it boggs when i take off also

what did it take to fix it? i wanna help my buddy out before he goes to the track to see what it runs (its slower than mine and hes got more money in it ...and i onl run 17s...lol)

No, a Y8 can launch fine from 3k w/o bogging.
