Default Non-Tech: 92 Civic with 600cc Yamaha motor

Double post, I know but some of you guys never leave this part of Honda_tech.

My friend Tom told me I could have his 1993 Yamaha FZR-600. I made plans to pick it up with a friend's truck but it was a no show.

So.....

I thought why spend $100 on a rental truck when I have a civic?

Here's how the bike looks (not actual pic)

.

.
.
.
.
.
So once I got to his house, we removed the passenger seat from my car and the yamaha in there...

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

And then I drove 50 miles to get back home, and unloaded it on my own

Do I want a cookie? Of course, I do.

Thanks TOM for having everyhting in order and organized and for giving me the shop manual. It will be running soon. Your Hayabusa should start gettting nervous

That's freaking awesome.

Couldn't have done that with a coupe or 4-door now could you?

my friend Owen, owen_the_soyboy, fit two B18's in his EG hatch and drove for 6 hours. One was a long block and the other was a full swap. Pretty funny. It's amazing how much you can fit in those cars.

Cookie granted.

When I first read the title, I was thinking WTF? Why would someone want to try to swap a motorcycle engine in their Civic? It was too tempting not to read.

dude i bought a 27" tv last week and took my passenger seat just to fit it in my coupe.... it still didnt fit, i had to take it out of the box, then the box wouldnt fit... ******* useless for carrying stuff.

btw, why didnt you just have someone drive you to Toms and then RIDE the sportbike home?

It has a broken exhaust cam.

I hope you guys didn't think that we attcked with the craftsman tool box and broke it into pieces so it can fit....

The bike was already in pieces... why else would I be getting it for free?

By the way every thing is ziplogged and arranged exactly as the shop manual break down procedure.

Once I have it running I will quote this exact post and post the pics of it going down the street.
