NO VTEC CROSSOVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok have a 97 ex coupe and i just swap in a b16a2 and i use my ex harness wit the ex ecu(until i get a obd2a-obd2b harness to use the b16 ecu) i have the engine light on and i was wondering if i can get the codes manually like on the 92-95 civics or do i need a scanner? also when the car is cold u gotta give it gas to turn on and when the car is hot it idles at 2000 rpm and of course vtec is not opening. any suggestion guys? thanks.

You can pull the codes manually.

So you used a sohc ecu on a dohc and you wonder what the problem is? Do us a favor and stop driving until you get the right ecu before you ask us why you blew your motor.
