No spark on 2000 civic lx (1.6L)
Hey guys,
So I'm relatively new to the Honda world. I've got a high miles (250k-ish) 2000 civic lx 1.6L non vtec (just a school-to-work and back car) that won't spark. I was driving down the road on the way to work and the engine just stopped, like it stalled out. It kept rolling in gear, but wouldn't start. Had a police officer push me up to speed and popped the clutch, rpms went up to 3k but the revs just fell down to 0. After further inspection I found that the rotor in the distributor is not spinning. The engine will turn over, but not start, and the timing belt is fine. Has anyone else ran into something similar to this? And should I just replace the distributor, or is there something else I should look into?
Thanks!
