No highbeams, help!
The high beam lights and the high beam indicator do not work on my 93 del Sol. I have an HID kit, so my headlights only work on the highbeams. However, these have been installed for the last 3 months, plus, even if the ballasts suddenly miraculously failed, it doesn't explain the lack of the indicator light on my gauges.
It just suddenly stopped working out of nowhere. I removed my dash wiring harness to resolder the backlight bulb wire, but there were no breaks anywhere else on any wires. Could the fuse possibly be blown? If so, which fuse controls the high beam lights and indicator?
if not, what wire do i hook to the multimeter to check for continuity? where is it located?
It's a huge pain to not be able to drive at night, especially since i go to night classes in college...

oh, ok.
i haven't tested them yet, nor the fuses. What would lack of voltage to bulbs indicate, a break in the wire or a blown fuse?

thanks.
it's just that headlight wiring confuses me. I understand dash wiring, but i don't even know where the headlight harness hooks up.

i ask because 9 is left high beam and 10 is right high beam and high beam indicator.
however, neither high beam works.

why did you wire the HID's to the highbeams instead of the low beams?
Donn't the highbeams provide more power when you turn them on? because if so thats what could have blown your ballasts.

Re: No highbeams, help!
it's a plug-and-play kit, so you get what they give you. However, i seriously doubt that the ballasts are blown because the high beam indicator doesn't work either. Plus, this HID kit was expensive, and the ballasts are high quality. It's a phillips kit, i made a nice plug-and-play adaptor for it.
My friend has the exact same kit wired to the exact same method, and his HIDs are still ticking after 2 years. He's had to replace the bulbs, but the ballasts are good.
