Re: No Heat (MugenHonda)
heater core possibly... if not that then your vent doors may not be opening up to let the hot air flow into the cabin... and does your blower motor work?

Re: No Heat (JDM-EJ1)
no i know this is going to sound weird but, why do you need your heater to work when you live in tx and its the summer.
sounds like the core or the valve is broke.

Sounds to me like it's the core too, I've always read that those things are a bitch to remove.

Re: No Heat (MugenHonda)
I had this same problem...but my was a lil different. Ill elaborate.
Bad waterpump+water (no antifreeze) + -10f = no heat.
I had water in my coolant system, it was fall; then it got cold REAL FAST!
Well I needed to go somwehere, so I started the bitch up...she ran fine the whole way there. Then on my way home she then decides to overheat. I pull over let her cool down, finally get her home. Well it was cold, and I dont have a heated grarage...so there she sat, froze. Then the weather turned, and it was above freezing...BUT the first few times I drove her, there was no heat. but she cooled herself fine. NEver a problem since...gotta lveo honda's work when frozen. (kinda)

Re: No Heat (Hondaciv95VX)
Here's what I said in another recent thread:
To remove heater core and fan blower
Once dash is removed...you need to pop the hood and remove the two coolant hoses that run from the block and connect to nipples on the fan blower right at the firewall. (this part sucks, and coolant will leak a bit)
Then you need to remove the two ac hoses taht run to the heater core. (I think you'll have to drain your ac system completely, mine was empty from the getgo) then you just unbolt the 4 bolts that connect the heater core to the firewall, then do the same for the fan blower.
EDIT: I totally take my previous comment back, this totally sucks, I forgot you had to drain the ac system.

Re: No Heat (litterbox)
shouldn't start doing anything unless you know for SURE that its the heater core...
honda heater cores aren't prone to going out too often as someone stated before
i'd check the thermo again and your coolant levels.
you could tell if it's your core if you're getting a weird stinch in your cabin...like eggs or something
