Default Nippon slipstreams

i saw some slips at the mall where i live...i asked him how much were they?...he said $140 a wheel... then asked him what kind of rims they were?...he told me they were NIPPON slipstreams...i didnt believe they were nippons so i looked it up...i found out they way about 11 lbs for 15" they look more like spoons than the slips do ( thicker spokes and a thicker lip) they looked exactly like spoons...you guys think it would be worth the $$$ or should i just go for ROTAS??? ~TIA...

I found them online for $467 shipped. I cant find the page they were on though.
Found it :

http://www.massivemotorsports.com/main/nipponr.htm

They look just like my Slipstreams to me.

not worth the money, plus I wouldnt believe himon weight unless you see ti on a scale you trust. Nippon is infamous for having similar designs that weigh more than other copycats.

email Walee at Machiii.net --> info@machiii.net
better yet is to call and ask for Walee (415) 594-0030.
he hooked me up big time, slipstreams this year and circuit 8s last year.

here we go again....why you even want spoons , because they said the word spoon in fast and the furious? i bet you got nos too , oh wait that was prolly too expencive , spoon rims serve a purpose , they are lighter for a reason , they are race rims . why you gonna put fake **** on your car. i dont understand that ****.

Well, *most* people do get Spoon rims because they serve as a light weight wheel that they hope will net them quicker timeslips or course times. Some get them for looks...those people amaze me. For those people who want a lightweight wheel, the "fake ****" rotas have a very friendly price tag. Did he ever say he was going to the track with the rims??? They also serve a purpose...they're only like 1~2 pounds more per wheel but about $300 less PER wheel than the SW388s. Let me ask you this...would you pay $900 more to shave 5 lbs off your cars weight and have a nice "Desmond" sticker on the inside of your rim? If you're willing to, and you have the money, go for it, i wish i had that kinda money laying around. It just doesn't make sense to me. Don't hate on the guy because he wants to save a little cash...geeze.

exactly, and not everyone can afford it.. i mean if money wasnt an option i wouldnt have purchased the rotas... plus for the buck.. you can't beat it.. look decent, and are light weight.. 700 w/ tire.. i mean wut else can you get for that that is a good rim ? i dunno its all personal preference. if i had the money i would have the spoons.. but i dont so i bought rotas..
