Nippon slipstreams
i saw some slips at the mall where i live...i asked him how much were they?...he said $140 a wheel... then asked him what kind of rims they were?...he told me they were NIPPON slipstreams...i didnt believe they were nippons so i looked it up...i found out they way about 11 lbs for 15" they look more like spoons than the slips do ( thicker spokes and a thicker lip) they looked exactly like spoons...you guys think it would be worth the $$$ or should i just go for ROTAS??? ~TIA...

Re: Nippon slipstreams (Untouchable EK)
Well, *most* people do get Spoon rims because they serve as a light weight wheel that they hope will net them quicker timeslips or course times. Some get them for looks...those people amaze me. For those people who want a lightweight wheel, the "fake ****" rotas have a very friendly price tag. Did he ever say he was going to the track with the rims??? They also serve a purpose...they're only like 1~2 pounds more per wheel but about $300 less PER wheel than the SW388s. Let me ask you this...would you pay $900 more to shave 5 lbs off your cars weight and have a nice "Desmond" sticker on the inside of your rim? If you're willing to, and you have the money, go for it, i wish i had that kinda money laying around. It just doesn't make sense to me. Don't hate on the guy because he wants to save a little cash...geeze.
