Newly Purchased 93 delsol s b20b - rough idle, back fire, and CEL
Hello all, ive recently purchased a 1993 del sol s b20b swap and i have a few issues, ecu or sensors i believe. First of all she idles rough, with little backfire puffs shooting from the exhaust. Also, what ecu should there be running this b20b? And check engine light is on? what harness supposed to be in this kind of swap? Ive had numerous hondas throughout my life but this one is my first swapped one and i fear i may have bitten off more than i can chew :scared: Ive already changed the loud ****ed up exhuast that came welded on the car with a type s exhuast, fixed the door locks too. shifting is a little notchy too and upon further inspection, i can see welds on the shift linkage:crook: The body is rust free with a newish paint job, once she is driving she rides smooth but somethings are definately done half-assed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Newly Purchased 1993delsol s b20b **BUGS**Photos and video**
I would think people could help you better if you posted what type of ECU is already in the car and what type of wiring harness it has, also what code it is throwing. I would assume it is obd1 stock harness from the del sol. if so I would think any b20 obd1 ecu or maybe a P74/75: 92-95 OBD-1 Integra LS/GS.

Ok so,,,, its a p75 ecu throwing codes for oxygen sensor 1, intake air temperature sensor, water temp sensor. I have yet to check the timing. Is there a guidelines on how to check timing on here? And last but not least, could it be that the sensors just aren't connected? They used the delsol harness and its all hacked up but im sure i could sort through it after awhile.

if its sluggish and boggy when you drive it then it is the 02 sensor thats throwing your idle off and backfire. either he didnt put the 02 sensor back into the aftermarket exhaust he installed or it just went bad and needs to be replaced. my friends jeep doesnt have the 02 sensor and he gets 10.4 mpg LOL and its hella boged down. but yea check that first thing i woudl do .

The ecu is a p75 a51 that's an automatic ls ecu. Could that be a source of my issues too? Reverse light don't work either
