Default Newbie question about dumping my car

Bare with me honda-tech people.

Right now I'm koni yellow and ground control on my ek. But the rear coilover sleeve are totally dying. They are strip and I couldn't even higher it or lower it.

My question is that can i reuse the shocks and buy new set of Ground control? Most likely I'm going to reuse all the shocks and buy a new set of coilover sleeve. And how much do they go for? I don't remember how much i got it for.

Any help or respond will be Helpful.

Thanks.

Of course you can buy new GC coilovers and reuse the strut. Make sure you buy the GC sleeves made for the Koni Yellow struts. Check out the sponsor forum for pricing.

Is it better to buy it used or new? I wonder how much they go for? I'm on a budjet But want to know how much they go for.

Also how can you tell if your struts are blown or not? Does anyone know the limit on the ground controls? I want to dump my car hard. lol

It's always better to buy parts new, but a used set would be ok if there aren't too many miles on the coils. I have no idea how much they go for. I would guess $100-150 for a set of used GCs.

If you see oil on the side of the strut, then it's blown. If the car is really bouncy, your struts are blown.

To the OP, ever heard of google? Type in ground control and you will get pages of companies that sell these. I know your new and all but thats common sense. New gc's go for about 350. Like BlueIntegraBoy stated, check out the sponsor forums for pricing or ebay is always an option.

if you didnt request gc for koni shocks when you ordered them, then they will fit everything else, IE, tokico, agx, etc. I think the sleeves for the konis are shorter cuz koni is a shorter strut made for lowered cars.

if you can push the strut in with no force, its blown. yes you can reuse the struts. ground controls are a good choice to dump a car with. get some extended top hats and go for it.

drive slow its gonna be a shitty ride quick
