NEWB from Ohio, 99 Si build (56K, go eat lunch!)
First off a little about me, Im 22 years old, live in cincy, I am a co-owner of a small custom shop with a good friend of mine. Growing up was surrounded by hot rods, and always wanted kick *** american cars, always said that i woul never own an import. fast forward to now, and Ive owned 3 2nd gen rx7's, a 97 hatch, an 01 coupe, and my current Si, as well as a few toyotas, and DSM's. Ive owned everythign from a 72 GTX, 88 Monte SS with a built 327, bagged caprices, s10s, and mazdas, lifted jeeps, ect, ect. And I have to say, I have the most fun building hondas! Being a shop owner is a blessing and a curse, I get to do what I love every day, but at the same time, that doesnt mean working on the cars that I personally love (mine) so I dont get much time to mess with my own stuff. Which brings me to my Si. I go tthe car is early August and it has pretty much sat since then, I drove it home, an dthat was it. I got it from the origonal owner (family member) who had built it during the trends of the time, molded kit(which he later removed, but there was a ton of bondo left on the 1/4s and fenders, just painted on top of it), shaved mouldings, huge wheels, lime green paint, ect, ect. However, that was before there were ebay knockoffs and stuff, so what is there is good stuff, Nicley built LS vtec, omni power coilovers, apexi ws2 exhaust, mugen header, full leather interior (mint) seibon hood, and lip, brembo rotors, spoon pads, endless usa lines, mugen shifter n ****, pedals, and steeringwheel. The plan was to do a nice DD, but, being a show owner, thats never good enough, youve got to showcase your talents, so, that kind of what its turned into, keep in mind, I dont have much time to do work to it, so updates wont be every other day liek som of you guys, but Im trying!
The plan:
The plan is to replace the nasty bumpers and fenders, possibly a BYS front, un-shave the side trim, take the 18's off, and go with somehting current, paint it, clean it up, wire tuck, and enjoy.
So far, I have unshaved the car, all bodywork done, I have got the shell sprayed, as well as the doors, and small assorted peices, its Scion hypnotic teal mica, and i put the OEM vtec decals on it. I threw on a set fo 15x7 jmags with a set of 205 50 15 Falken Azenis tires. I used a set fo Rays red lug nuts, with ARP extended wheel studs. Interior I sold off all of what was in it, replaced it all with minty fresh OEM parts, save for the custom Purple metal flake johnny cash shift **** on top of the mugen short shifter. I re-wrapped the seibon hood, and VIS cf decklid with purple cf 2x2 twill, and am in the process of doing a matching roof cap for it as well. Im looking to get a BYS bumper and rewrap the lip with purple cf to go with the theme. I have spent a small fortune in PWJDM fender washers to replace any visible bolt on the car (stainless bolt with gold washers) and just placed an order for all new weather strip and window seals. Heres a few pics, will post up more tomorrow. Coment away and feedback would be greatly appriciated.
I know its nothign new or origonal, but, it should be aclean DD, and I dotn see a bunch of super clean civics in this area.
]
Ill have more pics to upload later on, more of when i got it, with the rims and whatnot, and some of the car with the purple carbon fiber, and doors bolted on, interior shots, ect.

Dude this thing has come a long way. I remember seeing it up in Goshen, when it was green lol. I had the teal eg with purple slips, was all different colors at one point.
If you ever wanna get rid of those wheels, I have some purple slips or hdp rsb's.
Subscribed btw.

I see the hatch with the slips all the time, I pass ur mansion of a house everyday on my way form work(youve probably seen my 04 Dodge Ram, shaved, white and kandy orange 2-tone, 20's, tinted glass, srt10 front end)
I reside in the milford goshen area, but my gf lives in eastgate/cherry grove area.
As for the 4 hood pins, I have no idea, and 2 of them were not functional (after seeing the pics Im sure you find that hard to beleive with the amazing work quality that was done to it) Once I got it apart and saw that is was blue I almost cried, Im still not sure why youd paint it lime green, but whatever. I got a smokin deal on the Hypnotic Teal so that sthe route I went, I kinda wish i went blue, but, Ill save that for the next project.
Just got to the shop, its a nasty rainy day, so Im going to pull the car in and start the horrible task of wet sanding it all smooth and buffing it back up.
Pics later on, and thanks for the feedback guys!

That color reminds me so much of the M3 color Laguna Seca. Excellent color choice man, you saved that car from death...lol.
What are you gonna do with the engine bay tho?
