new pistons question..answer fast pl0x
Im thinking about buying SRP Piston set for D16Z6 10.5:1 +.010 Bore.... im gonna get the rings for the extra 77$...should i get eagle rods to go with it? and will i need to buy a new head gasket if i get these put in and if i am missing anything else i need lemme know

thats what I had in my y7, and it held enough power to last longer than the sleeves
Whatever you do, DON'T, I repeat, DON'T get a block guard....that is what caused the failure of my 400whp single cam.
The only other thing that I could think of that you will need to build your shortblock would be a new set of OEM rod bearings, head gasket and a set of ARP head studs

ya i already got a head gasket i went ahead and bought 1 bc i was gonna do something and i got it for 75$ from honda....and i thought about the head studs but ill deff get them now... what will the rod bearings do

If you're going to put new rods in the motor, you need to replace the bearings as well. ARP head studs are a MUST on single cams, as they like to lift the head. Single cams have head gasket issues out the ***, so do anything you can do to prevent future issues.

i cant find out if cp has 10:5:1 pistons.. if not im gonna have to run with the srp...the golden eagle rods at the shop near me come with arp rod bolts.. ill buy new rod bearings sometime after i get all this ****...i wont put it in for another month.. have to write papers and **** and document it..for school project to pass senior year

if you wan't a better piston set just get the ones from a D16A1 fron a 88-89 integra there a better CR in a D16Z6 thay make over 12.0:1 CR.
