New Member..New Car...New Wheels..too much going on..
Well, after a year of researching the EG/EK civics and B-series engine swaps, I finally bought a 1992 Honda Civic VX (150K on chassis). I won it on ebay a few days ago, and paid for it today It already has a OBD1 B18B swap (85K miles total), Matrix Intake, Headers, Hiflo Cat, Exhaust, as well as cosmetic stuff and short shifter. It's been painted Vogue Silver Metallic (VSM EK Silver) and sits on CRX Si Rims (painted gunmetal). Also has 2000 Civic Si Transmission..there goes the gas mileage...
I really like the CRX SI wheels...too bad.. I just bought a brand new set of 16x7" Volk Gramlights ( Ray's ), pretty sic. though, they came with some decals that match the color of the "Gramlights" decal on wheels..they look like they go around the edge of the rims..for show or something.. gotta be show quality first
Anyway, I'm planning on a Greddy t3/t4 turbo kit and CTR head with Skunk2 stage2 cams and Nitride Valves...already considering a few turbo kits and Heads for sale...
The only thing it needs is a clutch. I'm probably going to get the Exedy Hyper Single Disc Clutch and light flywheel, probably through Spark Racing he's got a price war started!
Anyway, it will probably remain as is for a few months, i want to make sure everything is running properly before attempting a compression test. I drive delivery full time, so it will get some exercise
I'll post pix as soon as i'm an offical member

Round Rock? Cool. Welcome to H-T.
Doing a C/R test will make no difference now or down the road, now would be better since you'd be able to see how its running.
The turbo kit, head and cam set up you are looking at do not go together (skunk2 stg2 = all motor cams) . Head and cams maybe (just get a b16 head, cheaper) and cams would need higher comp. which you don't have in a LS block and wouldn't want for turbo.

Re: New Member..New Car...New Wheels..too much going on.. (ill phil)
Oh..from what i've researched, i thought that there were GOOD turbo cams..maybe not as extreme as skunk2 stage2's..maybe some CTR's or Crower 404's??? hahaha
I've looked at a few boost kits (t3/t4 or t3/td04 what's the difference??), and i will probably piece a kit together with HONDATA..
too much to do...

Might want to pick up a set of ITR cams. The stage 2's do not go well with a turbo set up.

Re: New Member..New Car...New Wheels..too much going on.. (silverEH2)
ok..no cams for awhile. I wasn't planning on cams unless i went VTEC anyway..i'm planning on using the car for delivery for awhile so heavy cams on LS would equal shitty gas mileage. I was in "negotiations" with someone off ebay for a JDM integra Type R head with nitride valves and CTR cams..$800..but he hasn't messaged me back today. maybe later..
I don't want to spend more than an additional $4200-4500 on the car..seeing as "race cars' are a money pit! But, it should be enough..
