Default New to the EK

Sup yall, I'm new to the EK's but not to honda as I've owned 4 EF's in the past and my current car is a turbocharged CRX. Anyhow I'm picking up a DX EK hatch this weekend for cheap from my gf's brother and was wondering if they come stock witha tach. I know the EF dx's did not so anyhow do they or no?

Thanks.

They don't. Pick up a Si/EX cluster, all plug and play. Sweetness.

and are way more money, maybe you could get lucky at a junkyard, but probably not. I've never seen an unmolested SI at a junkyard.
SI ftw

It's a DX, you really don't need a tach.

I'm using a CX cluster in my EX b/c the fuel gauge broke on my EX cluster and I didn't wanna spend the $ for another EX cluster and I needed it in 4 days.

Got a CX cluster, had to swap the temp gauge out b/c it was busted, paid 20 bux @ honda for a new front clear plastic and it looks good as hell.

Though like I said before...it's a stock DX, do you really need a tach?

Until you actually get under-way into your upgrades you don't really need it, and I sorta got a major problem with EK tachs as they AREN'T ACCURATE. Don't believe me? Run one with an OBD scanner connected to it and hold it at X RPM and watch as your ECU is throwing a different RPM than your tach.

What.... Are you saying you don't think there was a '96-'00 Civic HX? Because if you are, you are wrong.

Get an EX cluster. The Si cluster will say Si in red anyway, which looks dumb in a car that's not an Si.

EKs can be RHD or LHD, as can 6G EJs.

I have a friend with a Dutch EK3 and it's stock LHD.

JDM EJ7s are RHD though.
