My friends just bought a 2002 SI.Does anyone have any info on these rides?

Well the fastest one Ive seen is 14.0 in the quarter, letting off at the line so he didnt break out, and that was with a high trap speed, and shitty 60 ft time
my friend ran a 15.7 bone stock.

not any faster than the 99-00 Civic Si. Just more torque, lower rev limiter, i-VTEC, 2.0L of blazing K20A power.
a very price HB compared to other's in it's field. The Focus SVT is a better overall car for a better price.
Shitty 195/60R15 tires. Although the suspension is nearly dampened to the European Civic Type-R specs.
In all seriousness....your friend got a good car. Just not a GREAT car.

Get AEM CAI sounds real nice.
Thermal Research I believe is the only company right now that has an exhaust system out for it.
My friend has a 02 si, pulls a lot harder then the 99-00.

My buddy Joe at Comptech has one and he loves it. This is coming from a guy that had a mugen`d out track ek. Now the 02` is getting mugen`d out. He rants n raves about how well it does on a road course. Also, my buddy Eibach likes them, too, and he`s not really a Honda fan at all.

I don't see it coming up to an 99 SI though,the low end feels great But I don't feel the vtec pulling as hard,but 1 thing is the car has 300 miles on,so its not fair to say that,but the 99 SI was 2590lbs vs 2750.And pulled nicely.But the int is sweet,nice seats,dash, and shifter.Feels smooth as hell.Other then the vtec feeling a little sluggish the car handles great and has my Every day its looking better,same for the RSX,at 1st it looked

He doesn't redline,maybe 1 or 2 times threw a couple gears.So like I said it wouldn't be accurate to say it isn't as fast as the older SI's being it hasn't broken in yet.
Only a dusch bag would!!! 
yeah keep redlining it for the first 1000 miles you will break it in great

my best advice for buying one would be to test drive the one that you want to buy. if the sales person revs it hard or lets you rev it hard, don't buy it. i haven't looked at one but i've seen the two at our dealership get trashed during "test drives". so just beware.

im the owner of the one that ran 14.0@97mph.. that was the fastest run with a 65 shot.. the next run was a 14.3@100.10mph.. here are the pics...

i have had mine for a couple of months now and i love everything but the damn suspention is a bitch to work on 
and there isnt much aftermaket stuff to make if faster

in the pass ive grown to like the body changes in the acuras and hondas..but, im yet to be impress d with the new SI s...i was a bit turn d off when the dealers refused to deal on them and wouldnt honor AAA fleet pricing ...reasoning that they wouldnt be able to get enough of them..and now, im also noticing them line up in the car lots..with the economy the way it is ..it might be a good time to start looking again

Yea its new so alot of people including myself thought the looks were Now everyday it keeps looking better and better and the inside is awsome,I was without a doubt impressed with it.
