Default New Civic Help

Im getting ready to buy a 96 Civic HB. I used to own a 93 Civic Coupe. What is the differences in the 96-98 civic and the 99-00?? I cant seem to find this info anywhere. I also hear this engine in the HB is vtec..could this be true??

the front end (headlights, hood, bumper, etc) is the major diff and the 99-00 have red/clear tailights. the 99-00 is my fav EK.

This car I have not seen yet. But a reliable (mostly) sources says its vtec which i havent seen many that are. Just wondering if I can pinpoint the year of this car by telling which ones offered vtec.

No. I just sold my 02 Acura RSX to free up payments for a house and a friend located this car for me. I think he uses these forums from time to time and I used to back in the days of my 93 Coupe. Anyways the car is about 3 hours from me and its wrecked but not beyond repair and its fairly cheap. Plus ive been dieing to work on somethign again (RSX was too expensive to tinker with lol) but it being vtec blew my mind. I know with my 92-95 vtec was saved for the higher end models.
