New at building engines.. need a little help or direction..
I'm new at building engines, but a fast learner.. My brother and I are working on an LS/Vtec. We have a B18B block and a B18C head. Our goal is ~500 hp and 15-20psi boost from turbo. However, i'm having trouble finding info on what stroke to use, pistons, rod length, compression, etc. Basically the specifics on designing the internals of the engine to yield the power we want. Would appreciate any help or direction on where to find what i need to know to pick the parts that i need.
Thanks
Mike
Thanks

Buy some books and start reading, that or contact someone (in person) who knows what they are doing, and pay them. First time motor and wanting 500hp is kind of asking a lot.

He's got a point.
Especially when you want to get 500hp out of a LS Block....They are pretty cheap if you throw a rod but I donno man....

Yeah, i've been reading a lot so far, and have a friend who's done pretty well.. just trying to find what specs on the engine would be optimal to push that kinda hp out of it.. having trouble with the math part and finding clear formulas and concepts on getting as much hp as i can from it
