New Build 94 DX Coupe for Road Racing (RESTORED)
Hey guys, I'd like to share some pictures of my build in process. I'm building my coupe for Road Racing events like SCCA and NASA although I think that for the first initial break downs I'll be running Time Attack. I have already stripped down the car, had the role cage built, had the car painted and now I'm in reassembly mode. I'm working on the wiring such as eliminating unneeded connectors and I've already converted the original SOHC non vtec engine harness to work with the OBDII B16B Motor. As I put the car back together I'll be upgrading the suspensions bushings and components. Allot of stuff going on so check it out.
~~~Please make note that all the original pics were lost due to the closure of imagestation. I re posted as many of the originals as possible.~~~
Car Painted with Roll Cage. Cage work done by LCON, Paint & Body by MobWorks (Lost a lot of the original pictures. I only found these but will update with pics of the roll cage.)
The Motor, Civic Type R B16B
sick nice job! Are you going to add any tech, if not, then have it moved to app/cos. But in any case
Paint looks good. No daily driving for this car i assume.
I guess I'll subscribe to this one if you're planning on updating the build once in awhile.
Nice combo. Seems like you're making in too nice for a track car!!!
Good luck w/ the rest of it.
Thanks guys, this has been an in process project, I've had the car since Summer of 05', just been waiting for the $$$ so I can do this and since it's not my daily driver there's no rush. I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I get further along. I might take pictures of some parts that I already have to give you guys more of an idea of where I'm going with this.
He's documenting a build. The tech is implied. Much more relevant in this thread than a "look at my car, y0!" post.
The car is looking good man. But hurry the hell up.!! It's been a work in progress for like 3 years, who you think you are?? Me!!
hahahah
Everytime I drive by your pad I hope to see it idling in the driveway.
Give big props to L-con Race car fabs for the sick *** cage. I like the work they did around the side impacts in the doors.
Re: (gtlaw1)
Hey GT, you know I think I got lucky because the Car was fairly in good shape when I got it, like not rotten or anything. Most of the stuff came right off, just pulled back and up on most of the big pieces.
Re: New Build 94 DX Coupe for Road Racing (EuroR_TSX)
Thanks guys, much appreciated. I'm working on a few things now such as eliminating unneeded wiring and cleaning a few things up. I'll post later tonight some more pictures of some eye candy and other things I've done. I hope you guys enjoy this, I mean I know exactly how it is when you see something that you really want to do but don't got the dough. It all takes time, well atleast for me since I tend to be a perfectionist. I know that this might be a little prettier then the typical Road Race Car but I really wanted to go all out (Almost) on my first full build since I believe things should move as fast as they look. Anyway, not trying to sound cocky so please put me in my place if need be. haha Keep Posted guys.
