need your help ASAP!!
My brother's stock 1993 honda civic DX coupe automatic's engine is pretty much toast right now. i believe its a D15. It has a massive oil leak and also a leak somewhere for the radiator.
Today the car overheated, i filled the reservoir and rad back up with coolant and bled out the system just in case of any air pockets.
Things were going well until a few minutes after. The Engine has started to uncontrollably Rev Up and down continuously. I believe this might be the water pump has gone to the *******. The Hose from the radiator to the engine is now spongey due to no flow of coolant.
What i am asking right now is some information with regards to doing a direct swap.
No B-series or anything. Just a basic D-series swap.
What engines can i use to drop into place without requiring any modifications, No wire tampering. Just strictly plug and play.
I have sourced out a D16 from a 90 civic SI w/ 5 speed tranny & axles. Will this bolt directly into place without using the 5 speed tranny but the auto tranny that we currently have?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i need this done asap

Re: need your help ASAP!!
Any D-series engine should bolt up to the auto trans. minus the DOHC ZC (still a D).
regarding wiring i believe the 90 civic was obd0 while your 93 should be obd1. correct me if i'm wrong. your best bet is to source another non-vtec obd1 motor so you won't have any wiring to do except plug and play.
