ok, so heres where im at right now
98 civic sedan
b18b1, mt.

so i just swapped in my b18 and have been dealing with a few exhaust problems mainly leaks and a heatshield rattlin like a ****. so here's what im dealing with, its still got the cast iron exhaust mani coming off the block, i have some random piping from there to what was left of my y7 exhaust. either way its fvcked up, and all kindsa Dr. Frankenstein $hit goin on down there.

so, im boosting in the spring/early summer and im looking for an exhaust and i have a few things i wanna make sure of.
1. price doesn't matter i have a awhile before i NEED it so ill save a grip n get something nice
2.im shooting for 250-300hp range and i don't know what size piping i should lean towards
3.im torn right now on a header, im gonna boost so i wont need for long(but i can always reuse it for other projects) but all of the stuff in there now makes all kinds of noise and its drving me crazy.

cliffs: need a new exhaust system from the block all the way to my rear bumper, going to boost in the spring so im stumped on what i should do for a header for a few months? and i need recommendations for an exhaust application suited for 300hp(give or take) and boost.

p.s. nothings gonna happen if i go and take out ALL my heatshields?

HAve a shop make you a custom stainless exhaust so you get everything you want... you will also want a 3" exhaust for boost.
