need opinions of D-series turbo build or a B-SERIES
Just want to know what people think on honda tech about this build... My build so far. shooting for a 300-350hp motor - street tuned on chrome pro by me myself & I- i guess i have something to prove. my HIGH COMP setup spun a bearing so i want to know go turbo OR or just abandon it and go b-series 3 choices
1:d16z6 SOHC V-TURBO <==== 2: B16A3 with itr tranny <==== 3: b18c1 with ITR tranny

oh yeah i have a 100 shot of nitrous just sitting around my room as well. so either B-series with nitrous or sohc turbo

dohc vtec all the way. reason i say this is cause ive built single cam civics nd they were fast but i was never satisfied. now i have a b18C1 n my ek nd im lovin it!

Really, it all depends on what you want to do with the car. Drag, Street, Track, ect. A good tuner can get the turbo to spool right off the line. But that is a little to aggresive for the street usually. And a track, well on the track you wouldn't need the nitrous if you were driving well. Besides the turbo or nitrous will put you in a class that is "very" hard to compete in with a honda. IMO just boost the B and have fun. Sell the nitrous.

im thinking about it because jdm motors are illegal in cali and most b-series down here at stolen so i really dont want to go that route. i got hook ups on legit motors but i just want to prove that sohcs can be fast. therefore i want to make near 400whp and run 10's i like my power band.. I just NEED A GOOD MACHINE SHOP IN SO-CAL that can do a setup right for me for cheap any recomendations?
