NEED MORE POWER ON MY D16...

on a real note, get a CAI, nice header, aftermarket header, maybe some cams, and a b16 tranny.

You have one of the strongest blocks out there, and you just said money isn't an issue...

You already know the answer, BOOST IT. I have a 92 CX hatch with a 96 B18B1 in it, thats the road I'm taking.

x2. ls block+boost=orgasm. lol just go boost...with no vtec and no boost your not gonna make that much power. everyone on here will agree when i say...go boost!!! whatever you choose, good luck.

Get a better tranny. You don't need more power to feel the benefits of a shorter-geared transmission.

Look for any other b-series tranny that isn't from a b18b or b20.

I don't understand how so many people think a short geared tranny helps SO much with a B18 when it doesn't....

Short geared transmissions are intended for cars that peak and have most power at high RPMS, B18's have useable power from as low as 4000RPM up to redline, so when you are only using 6000-7000RPM when going WOT, you are shifting so often, that you will be loosing speed...

B18 transmissions are also ideal for boost.

Also, to the OP, your car must be loud as [freak], because I have 2.25 exhaust, a 'high flow' cat, and a resonator, and I could not hear myself think before I added a muffler, Let alone removing the resonator and cat O.O.

Infact I got a headache after driving on the freeway for more than 10 min at a time.

you can make a non vtec all motor fast but you will be a lot faster if you add boost or a vtec head or both
