Need help with y7/y8 mini-me. Rough idle and throttle issues.

Default Need help with y7/y8 mini-me. Rough idle and throttle issues.

Parts used:

2000 Y7 block (stock)
1997 Y8 head (new valve seals, milled .010, compression tested)
Y8 intake manifold
d16z6 throttle body
obd2b to obd1 conversion harness
OBD2 LS injectors
chipped p28 ecu (with Y8 base ROM)


Modifications done (in no particular order):

1. Y8 head bolted on.

2. All belts including timing belt and water pump and tensioner changed.

3. New NGK wires and plugs (we did gap them)

4. Y8 manifold bolted on.

5. IACV fix to convert from 3 wire to 2 wire and used the Y8 IACV.

6. VTEC solenoid and coolant sensor pinned in to factory wire harness.

7. Z6 TB bolted on.

8. Distributor legs of obd2b Y7 distributor were different so guts we swapped to an OBD2a distrbutor housing to mate with the head. The coil seems to be hooked up differently (only uses 3 of the 4 terminals. Could this be an issue?)

9. Blocked off misc vac lines on Y8 TB and Z6 TB that weren't needed.

10. Timing adjusted.

11. Compression test cyl 1 = 180, 2 = 176, 3 = 180, 4 = 186

12. OBD2 LS injectors installed. (240cc right?)


Description of Problem:

Car is missing and at low RPMs seems to bog. Idle is high and erratic. Some of this bog was caused by using a TB gasket that didn't fit quite right. I used 1/64 gasket material to make a custom gasket.

Please help! We are wondering mainly about the distributor since an OBD1 dizzy uses all 4 pins of the coil and this OBD2B only uses 3. Does anyone have any pics?
