I got 2000 civic EX auto. Does anyone knows how to change transmition oil. I was looking under my car to find bolt where i can take out oil but I am not sure which one is it. Can some one help me out here. I was trying to search but i could not find any thing.

There is a bolt that you must unscrew. It should be on the left hand side. The bolt is circular, and there is a square indentation in the center of it where a 3/8" breaker bar or ratchet (might break the ratchet though) would go so you could turn it to open it. You pull it toward yourself to open it. This lets the transmission fluid drain out. You will notice that there is a washer between the transmission and the bolt. Once you are finished draining it, you put the bolt back on, but you must replace the crush washer that you took off when you removed it. Any Honda dealer should give you one for free. Any other questions, ask. Be sure not to overfill your transmission, your transmission will shift very poorly. Use the dipstick to slowly fill it to the fill line. Any other questions, just ask.

I have auto transmition and I did not see any bolt
that is 3/8". I think there is bolt on left which is square and I only
ratchet by it self fits there. But I am not sure if that is the rite
bolt. I went to honda people to buy and oil and the round thing ( I don't
know what to call) that I need to replace when I open bolt and that thing
is "Quarter" size. Only bolt I sow that big was that one thats how I
figure out.
So could anyone help me out here.
