hi im looking for someone to help me with my 99 civic coupe. It has a d16y7 and i was racing my buddy and my car cut shut off and my oil light came on. It started back up first try but then i had a loud ticking noise coming from my engine. After that i parked the car since the beginning of november then a few days ago i decided to see if it was running and try to get it to a shop to get looked at. The car started up no problem after sitting in sometimes -35 degree weather. The car was fine all day and then it started to act up. It seems like it's idling too low and the engine is not getting enough gas and it will shut off in neutral. It always starts back up though. When it's in gear it will not shut off! Did anyone hear of this before and would have any idea what it would be? To get it looked at will cost me at least 130 bucks canadian! help is much appreciated. thanks

did the oil lamp come on before the engine quit? If not, that is normal, your oil lamp is on before you start the car as well with the key in the on position. is it automatic?

im not sure if it came on before it cut out cause it was a suprise then when i looked down it was on. It's a 5 speed
