Hey... i was all excited to find what i thought was a true GReddy exhaust but read closer that it was indeed GReddy style... i was told by many ppl that it would sound the same b/c piping is piping and the muffler is the same shape, depth length and material similar to a pair of shoes ur paying for the name. a friend of mine has a 00' civic with the same exhaust im about to get and i have a 97'. here is the link to what i am purchasing please give me any opinions that you have!!!

theres no greddy system that even resembles that...if anything that is Apex'i N1 "style"
In most cases N1's are loud and obnoxious, including the authentic.

imo if you want that deep sound, just get a custom setup with a resonator and oval muffler. straight through canister mufflers tend to be on the louder side. but i've never had one of them so i cant really say.

don't buy junk. anything that is a xxx style is obviously a knock off. buy the real deal and stop wasting money. you will buy this thing and end up buying another exhaust because that one was junk. i have always had greddy exhaust systems on my own cars and can not say anything buy good things. one thing about them is that they are a little heavier than the others, but they are nice and quiet and of very good quality.

My buddy just bought a Megan exhaust. It has a straight-thru design. Haven't had the car on the road (accident prior to new exhaust). It wasn't super-ricer OMGHI2YOU LOOKATMEI'MLOUD type exhaust, but it's louder than my HKS.
OP: If you're on a budget I'd PM KTeller and see what kind of setup he can get you for your budget.
