I'm 99% sure that's the Y7 head from an LX/DX/CX. Spark plug holes should be on the exhaust side of the head.
[edit] muaha yep. D16Y7 head. You want plugs for a 1999 Civic LX/DX/CX. NGK.

Re: Need help to identify d series head
So if my head is from a 96-98 civic lx.. It means it Came off of a d16y7 non vtec right?
Im planning to put the d15b head in the future.. Cuz my buddy also has a d15b block n head i think.. And he buys special spark plugs for it.. He had told me to buy NGK zfrg6-11 which is the recomended plugs for d15b.. Or at least thats what he told me.

It's not from a 96-98 LX, it's from a 99 LX/DX/CX. Yes, like I already said, D16Y7. Yes, NGK ZFR6J-11 is the recommended plug for the D15B VTEC motor.
