Default NEED HELP GUYS minime swap

just traded my old hmo b16a crx for a clean 93 eg hatch. the wiring is a mess in the engine bay and i have one cylinder that is not firing right. its a d16y8 head on a d16y7 bottom end. car runs fine above 4 thousand rpm but any point below that it sputters really bad. i have replaced plugs, plug wires, dizzy cap, and injector. the dizzy wiring is a mess the guy i bought it from just twisted all the wires together that connencted the female end of the connector. also i think it is supposed to be a two connector dizzy and he has spliced wires to make it a single connector. need some advice pleeeze.

You're so very welcome. CRX's go or a premium these days. You could have sold it and bought a decent car.

obviously a new wiring harness would be needed.

i would just swap the d16z6 in. if you know what you are doing (i assume you do), it would only take about 6 hours.

my old motor ran just like the one you described, and i found a bent crank and all bent valves. (how the guy i bought the motor from bent the crank is beyond me)

ran great over 3k rps, but below it sucked...then it started dieing at every redlight

I am not trying to put the mini-me swap down, but to be honest, complete F***heads who know nothing are generally the ones who TRY to build this concoction. Typically they screw everything up, and end up creating internal engine issues like the ones mentioned in a previous post. Swap the Z6 in and save yourself some time. Good luck!
