Need Help - Fule Filter Replacement
Hello, I am replacing a fuel filter on a 1998 civic EX d16y8 motor. The fuel filter came with 3 washers two the same size and one small. I took my stock fuel filter off and i only see two washers used with it. Does anyone know what the small washer is for??? I know the two that are the same size go with the banjo bolt. Is thier any washer used for the fuel line coming into the bottom of the filter???? Any help would be great, thankyou

toss it. The filter you bought is the same one that's used on some older civics. They had a different setup and needed that little washer. I know exactly what you're talking about. I did mine in my 00 Si just before coming here and it had that little washer too. Just use the two big ones.
Come to think of it, my Prelude's fuel filter came with one of those little washers too and I didn't need it.

the washers that go with the banjo bolt have a 1/2 inch diameter opening.
The washer in question (the smaller one) has a 1/4 inch diameter opening - inner diameter, and a 7/16th inch outer diameter.
