timing belt tensioner? water pump? could be a few things really. any way you can get a vid or audio bite of the sound.

take a piece of garden hose or tubing, hold one end to your ear, and move the other end around the engine bay. When you get close the the source of the noise, you'll hear it much louder in your ear through the tube.

waterpump might leak out the weep hole at the bottom if that's failing.

tensioner could be it too.

like dude said, could be anything.

find the source with the tube/hose method and post back.

Have you messed with the TB tensioner lately? I've heard a Civic with the timing belt tightened waaaaaay too much, and it whined really loudly.

Yes I use a garden and I put by where mostly the sound is coming from and everything from waterpump to the tensioner everything on the driver side where the timing belt is making the same amount of sound.

If you’re truly clueless but not clueless enough to turn a wrench. While the car is not running take of each of the drive belts off one by one while starting the car after removing each belt till you don't hear the sound anymore. If you still hear the noise after all the belts are no longer on the motor, it should be a little easier to determine where the sound may be coming from if it turns out it's coming from under the timing cover. You won't have all the noise blending together making it harder to determine the source if you get that far. Hope this helps.
