need help car making horrible noise
i drive a 1996 civic ex coupe and when i am revving and it hit about 3500 to 4000 rpms i start to hear a bad rubbing like something is dragging under my car....it sounds like a flap is beating against my car....it only happens when i go over 4000 rpms tho....any ideas....i kno its not very descriptive but any input will help ty

wen revving and driving down the street its almost always making the noise now...when i let off the gas and apply it the noise gets ever worse...ill prob break down sometime soon here :/

do u have an aftermarket exhaust on the car...
i would check with that if something is loose it will rub, vibrate, and just become more loose...
have somebody else rev the car while you walk around the out side and go by ear if its that loud it will be no porblem to find

So it's only while you're driving?
I'm thinking there's got to be something loose with the exhaust or heatsheilds. The engine moves differently when under load (driving) than just sitting around revving. I'd get under / around the car and start yanking and banging around to see if there's anything loose.
