Default Need help

i just recently purchased a 93 del sol. It seemed like a steal at the time. it has a crappy motor though. i bought it knowing it had a problem. i was oroginally told it needed a tune up but the other day i started to burn oil incerdibly bad due to the guy not tightening the valve cover. ive also got a bad vacuum leak and oil in my distributor. i got screwed over. anyway, my mechanic said i should just do a swap but i dont have 2000 to spend. just wanted to know if i should just put a crappy sohc back in or if i should just sell it. any help is appreciated

Bad vaccum leak, find the hose and fix it. Cost < $1.

Oil in the dizzy, bad seal at the camshaft. Cost < $10.

Doing this ultra simple **** yourself. Cost = free.

There are some things that money can't buy. For everything else, there's Mastercard.

Oh...and if you don't have $2000 to spend but you have a mechanic, just have him fix the cam seal and the vacuum leak. I'm sure it'll be less than $250.
