thought id get some input before i go destroying my car. well my blower motor only works on speed 4, so its either on full blast or not at all. now when the motor is warm, it will blow maybe 10 seconds worth of hot air and then it goes to norm temp air. was going to replace the thermostat because the car is 16 years old it may need it anyway but idk if that may be the problem. last guess is the heater core that needs to be replaced. any1 have this problem before and fixed it?? id like to get this done before it gets really cold here and im freezin my *** of drivin to work. thanx all. oops, its a 93 eg hatch, so obd1 if it may help any1 diagnose a problem

i would check your quick disconnect plugs oo the back of the console to see if you got one comin off like a short if not i mean you could try and replace the core but if you got somewhat hot air now then the core is workin so my only other guess is try and test that thermostat see it she is workin i believe thats your prob. good luck man and stay warm ha

speed 4 check your blower motor resister,make sure u have cooland low cooland can make u have no he if u have it pull the heater core hose off put a water thur it and see if it comes out the bottom if it dont u may need a heater core

if it only works in high then its the resistor for the blower motor.

Well i got 2000 civic and when i put the heat on dont not blow warm just a little when i drive but when the car its in park and just chilling it blows like coolish air cold/hot but more of a cold air
and i replaced the thermostat already and checked the the motor opens up and closes the place to allow warm air 2 come inside and it does
what could be the problem
plz help me winters here and no heat

heater core was clogged, used an air compressor and blew that **** ouot that was in it
