Default Need a few pages from 92-95 Helms manual...

Anyone out there have a 92-95 Helms that they'd be willing to scan a few pages from and email those scans to me? I'm doing something that I want to only have to do once, so Helms is always the way to go in those instances. My Haynes has the procedure, but it's kinda sketchy. Searching on here for a how-to doesn't yield much, either.

Please PM me or reply here if you'd be willing to spend 5 min. and help a guy out, and I'll give you the details on what I need, thanks!

Oh, and before anyone responds w/ something like "Why not just download/use the free one that's floating around online?" ... I have that one and use it all the time, but for some reason the pages I need are missing from it

Pages 8.13, 8.14, etc. etc. Basically the pages starting w/ 8.13 and continuing through the entire process of pump-side oil seal inspection/replacement for D16Z6 motor.

Bump. Who knew that on a forum of 281,000+ users it'd be so hard to find someone w/ a 92-95 Helms manual

Whatever is equivalent to pages 8.13, 8.14, etc. etc. in the 92-95 Helms. Basically the entire process of pump-side oil seal inspection/replacement for D16Z6 motor (oil seal inspection/replacement while oil pump is still attached to motor). Thanks!

my scanner took a dive a while back. I'll try to take some pictures of the pages for you tonight.
No promises on quality though.

I had planned to go through the scanned version of the Helm and scan in the pages that were missing, but spare time and a working scanner have not lined up yet.

Sweet, thanks man. Pix should work fine. I have a crappy little 2.0 mp digicam and it still takes decent pix of book pages, etc. up close. LMK.

4 years of using the PDF one that's available for download everywhere and I FINALLY ran into a procedure that's missing from it

in my 92 version, there are only 10 pages to section 8. (ie 8-10 is it, then it's on to 9)

Same thing in mine. I had a 1995 manual, but my friend has it now. I'll see if I can get him to check if it has the section you need.

That'd be cool. I'm very curious if this info is in the later manuals (93, 94, 95) but not in the 92's. If that's the case, hell I might just buy a 95 edition and call it a day.

I wish it were that easy. I haven't found any 93 or 94 copies to check, but my 95 copy was missing a good chunk of info. It seems by that time, they started splitting the manual up, and they took out a big bunch of wiring information. My PDF copy seems to be missing some of the wiring diagrams that my 92 manual has. My 95 manual was missing the wiring diagrams as well. I also had to pick up the separate body repair manuals, since that information wasn't in either FSM. I only got a 92 and a 93 body repair manual. Turns out the Del Sol isn't listed in the 93 and has a whole separate book dedicated to it.

I'll see what I can track down for you, but the whole FSM business is far from clear. As crappy as it seems, the clearest and best organized FSM's I've found so far are for Chrysler products.

Damn...wtf Honda? Well if you get a chance, let me know. See this is why people pirate the FSM's like this...because they spend $80 on them and then one day when they need a simple procedure, it's not in there.

I just had my buddy check the 95 manual. He says it stops at 8-10. From his description of the pages, it sounds like it's the same as the 92 version.

Just wondering, how did you catch wind of these extra missing pages? At this point, I'm almost inclined to believe they either don't exist or are in a different section. Is the seal you're talking about the crankshaft seal on the outside of the oil pump or the O ring on the inside between the block and the oil pump? I just got finished replacing all the oil seals in a D series, so if you'd like, I can try to give you any pointers you might want on either of those seals.

According to the Helms I have, and pages from ones others have graciously sent me, there SHOULD be numerous pages after 8-10. One member on here sent me the UK version and it did indeed have these pages. The manual actually references these pages and tells you to look at them for that particular procedure. For example, in some of the 7-X pages, there's a note to refer to page 8-13 or 8-14 for the procedure in-depth. Also, in some of the earlier 8-X pages, it says the same (refer to page 8-13 or 8-14 for the procedure in-depth).

At this point it's not doing the seals I care about (already done, very easy...but I'm a rather mechanically-inclined person who uses common sense when doing stuff like this. I pity the person who is attempting stuff like this for the first time and they don't have access to the proper procedures that SHOULD be in the manual). Rather, it's just that. This stuff SHOULD be in there b/c the manual itself, on earlier pages, says so.

If I get time when I'm on my home computer I'll post the pages I'm talking about.
