Default Need feedback on KYB AGX shocks

I'm new to the site, so i wasn't sure what forum this belongs in...mods feel free to punt it to the correct forum

I recently ditched my '91 Jetta GLi for a '97 hatch, and i want to start modding with the suspension.

I had decided that i wanted to get Koni Adjustables because i'd had great success with them on my Jetta, but i soon realized they're VERY expensive for Hondas. A friend of mine recently recommended KYB AGX's, because they're supposed to have a "Koni-like feel" but cost FAR less...any feedback on the KYB\Koni situation?

My 94 hatch is setup on them, and if you ride the streets on "1", your sure to enjoy the ride....oh, I've got Groud Controls as well...

good luck!

Did you need to get a special adapter for the Ground Controls to fit the KYB's, or no? That's another thing that turned me off about doing Konis...

The only bad thing about KYB AGX shocks are their warranty. It's voided if you drop lower than 1.5".

jus want to add, im only reading biased opinion. people give their best ratings on something they havent
had a chance to compare with other products. personally i havent had the chance to do the same on dampers.
springs are a different story. try a search on tokico illumina's

I have them on my EK coupe, with the eibach pro-kit. I love them. It is so easy to adjust them, it literally takes about 60 seconds for all 4 corners. The ride is great..

I'm a little nervous about illuminas. I've hears people say they like them, but i've also heard bad things about Tokico shocks in general...

I installed my KYB AGX's about a month ago. As soon as I took it for a drive I could tell
a great differance. VERY easy to adjust to driving conditions. Only bad thing is (like mentioned) the 1.5 inch drop warrenty.
Overall I'd give it
