Need Advice... Piston ring leakage
So I did the leak down test like you guys told me too.. I have 3 pistons that have between 20-40% leakage.. What would be the best choice for me I dont want to spend more than $1200 with everything... The motor is usdm b16 2000 civic si
A. B20 vtec
B. Rebuild the B16
C. LS Vtec
D. Just get new rings and leave it alone
My goal one day is to have it boosted and be at around 300-400hp... But that's WAY down the road..

I'm in the same boat as you, same car. All your choices will cost more than 1,200 if you want it done right. I suggest you get a jdm b16 to replace your b16a2. That will be in your budget. Good luck.
