Default need advice asap (axles wont pop)

D16Y8 s4o transmission... car wouldnt shift and was stuck in 4th, ran great in 4th too lol, i got it to pop into neautral eventually.

installing my new s20 si tranny and we cant get the axles to pop off of the old s40 (obx lsd inside)

were thinking this could be an issue with the lsd?

any suggestions on how i can get these s.o.b.s out without breaking my axles?

thanks in advance, need advice ASAP

have you tried a pry bar yet? I've had to use those a few times. Im not sure why/if the lsd would cause it not to come out somehow.

3 foot pry bar with every bit we got.

we popped the upper ball join instead of the lower ball joint to give us some slack, thats the only thing weve done differently that the last 3 times we have pulled the tranny.

any other ideas/

muffler clamp on the inner joint, when you put it on attach a piece of chain to it, attach the other end of the chain to something close by on the car, something solid, pry against the chain to put tension on the inner joint and start hitting the inner joing with a hammer, hard.

Lol, I hate it when that happens. Don't force it anymore than you have to. Wiggle and rotate the inner CV while trying to pop it. There is a c-clip on the end of the axle that is lodged. You have to work it until it pops. Worst case sinario, you'll have to pop the other axle and move the c-clip from the other side of the diff. Good luck, that ones a bi#(H.
