Mystery CEL, no code..
I've been scratching my head over this one.
Ok Background,
97 civic
OBD1 h22 swap, with H22a tranny.
auto to man conversion.
This was all done over 5 years ago and everything worked fine. 2 weeks ago I brought the car to a transmission place to have the clutch, flywheel, and diff replaced with new parts. The second I got the car back a a CEL goes off, I take it back, and the guy says he has no idea what's wrong, saying he had nothing to do with it... basically SOL. I go home and try and take a look at the code via the usual jumper wire method, and i notice that the light is not on when the ignition is on, without starting the car!!!
Anybody know what's going on? the CEL only turns on after 2 seconds of starting the car. Thanks for the help, and to be honest I don't know if the problem is the garage's fault or not, but I'm leaning towards not recommending them. Thanks for reading and any inputs.
