My windshield wiper is "shooting blanks"~
I just pured some windshield wiper fluid last night and filled it up good... but when I tried to use it, it wasn't coming out. The most I could out of them was to the "pissing: stage, which wouldn't even reach my windshield.... What can I do to fix it??

Take a needle and jam it in the nozzles, then wiggle it around good. If that doesn't work, just grab some new ones, they aren't that expensive. You could even get chrome ones with little LED's in them! bling bling!

Mine were doing the same thing for the longest time. I'm just too lazy to go out and buy new ones. But last week I got a set of black ones from a '99 accord, now I have the fan spray pattern that gives better coverage instead of the stock 4 jet mode.
OOOOOOHHHHHHH YYYEEEAAAHHHH!!!!!
How's that for washer nozzle tech yO!

I have a problem with the hose under the hood getting pinched. I took it out of the bracket and it works fine.

No, the hoses came right off. You could always just snip the part thats stuck. Or better yet, replace the line if it's real old. The tubing is pretty cheap.

to jeep windshield washers. my mom had a jeep liberty and i was always envious of the amazing coverage the sprayers give.
what other nozzles fit and look good on a civic?
i might try the accord ones if they really have the fan style spray.

Ya, the accords have the fan spray from I think '98 up. You can tell by looking at them. If they have a wide orifice, they're the fan jets. If they have 2 round orifices, they're the standard (obviously).
They just popped right in for me. The holes in the hood are probably the same in all hondas.

I was just checking out an s4 that was at my buddies shop and it has the ww squirtier mounted upsidedown under the back lip of the hood so there are no squirters on the hood itself... looked real clean.

Well, the thing is that it was working fine before I pured the windshield wiper fluid. Now, it looks like its just "pissing" on my front hood..... its not even reaching my windshield.

Hello cjblade-54,
The easiest way to fix it has already been mentioned. I use a small piece of wire, like single strand of telephone wire, and just stick it in the nozzle holes and that clears them. Also, it's an easy way to aim te spray. I've had the same setup for almost 200K miles. The other thing you could check is there might be some gunk on the bottom of the resevoir clogging the exit hole. I just removed the bottle and used a high pressure sprayer from the garden hose. Good Luck.

Welll, I tired to use s needle and clear the nozzles...... but it still didn't work. The funny thing is, when I open my front hood up and test it... it works fine, but when it is closed, it starts "pissing"

Check your hose. It's got a kink in it when you shut your hood. I guarantee thats the prob if they work when its open.
