Is my lip aligned right (93 Hatch)?
I just installed my lip this weekend (I posted pics in the Appearance Forum) but upon further review, I think that it is tilted.
Here's mine:
Here's another example (if this is your car tousche):
I didn't use the OEM Clips just aligned it to the black lip on the stock bumper, if I get the OEM Clips do I have to worry about alignment or will it automatically fit? Also, if I do decide to get them, what exactly do I ask for? Thanks for all the help.

Is it the same lip???
On the demo car you can see the paint along the underside of the grill. I say get the oem clips and see if its still giving you trouble. I just put the oem Si lip on my hatch, had to work with it to get it to fit, also used some self tapping screws on the underside.

your lip is mounted upwards, in the middle you should be able to see the bumper then the lip below it
i dont know about hte lip clips, but for most honda/acura lips there are just screws on the side, then like 7 or so screws on the bottom with the clips as markers guides

Re: Is my lip aligned right (airon)
its does look a little off center towards the passenger side, but i say just take it off and tape it on then screw it in. but other than that it looks good

scott i think you got a different brand than that in the picture. thats why its sitting on top of the bumper in the center. remember when i asked about the color it comes as. i was looking around and the one in the picture only comes in white, yours came in two colors. thats why it looks off. hit me up and ill catch u at the x tomorrow, maybe some tony hawk 3. buh bye now.

Yea, I don't think it's the real deal either, but it looks ok... just want to make sure the thing is aligned...

Here is a pic of mine. Notice how you can see the painted part of the bumper and then the lip. On your is looks like the lip is covering the covered part. I lined mine were the paint and unpainted portions of the bumper meet.

See, mine has a little lip that covers the part you are talking about. I'm thinking about cutting it off... but I don't know

Ahhh i see. In that case it looks like you need to raise the ends up that mount in the fender well.

It also looks like you have gaps on the sides. Use 3M double sided tape(thick, strong stuff) It will also help hold it onto your bumper better and may help in fitment issues!

Re: Is my lip aligned right (95hbMatt)
Any luck with fixing your lip yet? I bought an OEM lip brand new for $66 from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and used hardware purchased from Home Depot. I am not sure about the aftermarket lip, but my OEM lip has holes predrilled into the bottom of the lip which align with the holes that are on the underside of the bumper. OEM lip install is a no brainer....really hard to mess up And yeah, your lip looks like it sits too high in the middle (you should still be able to see painted bumper all the way across the top of the lip if installed properly). I hope my info helped out a bit...

Re: Is my lip aligned right (b16a ferio)
Did you buy a Type R Style Lip??? If so, for $66, I could see if I could sell the one I just got and buy a new one.
I won't get a chance to mess with the lip until this weekend since I am up at school and live in the dorms.

Re: Is my lip aligned right (Hatchy-Ownzjo0)
Hmmm, that looks similar to my EK CTR front lip. It has that edge in the middle too.
Might want to check if you got the right part.
