Enough talk on with the pics

and a few pics of my was daily driver truck thats now a second project next to my 1975 camaro

2002 gmc sonoma , all shaved and slammed

all work on all of my cars/truck was done by me

And what seems to be the tech problem here?

Post this in A&C section, for future reference.
Clean coupe btw, could use a lowering tho.

Good luck with the project!

I have a d16y8 head built with skunk2 parts im thinking about putting on soon?

Should i see a gain in n/a power or should i just save it for boost?

What ive done so far is

d15b swap
intake
header
2.5 full exaust
skunk2 dual bend shifer and ****
p28 im currently tuning with crome till i can get my hands on s300

I wonder if i should go ahead and start setting the car up for power or just keep putting $ under the hood.

skunk2 built head

bumping pictures of your car is sort of gay.

if no one is interested let the thread die. I'm sorry there aren't hordes of people commenting on your seemingly stock vehicle with a skunk shifter.

Did everyone just not see the post where im asking about the head or just skim trough and start with the bashing

And for the mostly stock car ..i did mention that ive had it for just 3 months and i was simply asking what you thought on my progress thus far.

And since this negitivity seems to be the only kind of feedback i seem to be reading in most threads i suppose i chose the wrong forum to become a member of back to google i suppose.

My deepest apologies for bothering those of you who welcomed me so kindly.

outtie.

Depends on what cam you have, but for the D-series, Skunk2 only has a stage-1.

<FONT COLOR="red">Skunk2 Tuner Series camshafts retain factory idle quality and low speed emissions and also significantly increase HP and TQ. When applicable, the VTEC crossover from primary to secondary is more dramatic for that classic VTEC surge. Many of the Skunk2 Tuner Series camshafts also feature Fast Ramp and Amax Technology which allow the engine to build more torque at lower rpms. Tuner Series camshaft profiles are less aggressive than our Pro-Series Camshafts and are designed to place more emphasis on idle quality and emissions. Tuner Series cams use the same high quality cores as our Pro-Series camshafts and are ground on the same CNC cam grinding machines equipped with CBN grinding wheels. Tuner Series camshafts are ideal for both daily street driven and racing engines.</FONT>

It depends on what kinda power you want to make. With the money it takes for the D to make any real N/A power you might have as well gone turbo. Besides, who doesn't like blow-off valves?

Seriously, choose turbo.

Don't listen to what these guys say bout some bumpin, I think it's fine. I'd put that head on the car to enjoy for now and start collecting turbo parts. If you can tune it right with even those mods you'll see gains. That way you have a somewhat modified car to enjoy for now while you save parts for the turbo beast.

Ok so i guess i might have been wrong about h-t maybe there are some serious people here.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by shizkabob3421 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">paint them wheels and drop it.</TD></TR></TABLE>

It really is the next thing on my list.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by unusual71 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">stock instrument cluster? </TD></TR></TABLE>

I belive it is.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by civicjoe &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Oh and I forgot, clean car!

I used all duplicolor rattlecan paints. I started with a black basecoat and then did about 3 verry light coats with the red (its called metal specks) and heres the key each coat of the red i held the valve cover at a different angle so the flakes would be shimmering in all directions. then followed it up with a nice coat of clear.

it has a really cool candy look that sorta turns black depending on the angle you look at it.

i can do a detailed writeup with pics if requested.

And finnaly thanks to everyone for your coments / advice
