Re: my EG4 VTi - project F__K dohc side (Downeybear11)
very tiiite, I'm glad to see something other than a B motor in a JDM style car. Hell, they have SOHC VTECs in 94 and up Integras.

i'll wash the car soon, just don't feel like it now...so no more wash the car jokes...j/k
as far as brake conversion...its as easy as bolting on stock parts...drop complete trailing arms, attach the GSR (you will need e-cables and brake lines as well)...and you're done...
the JDM sohc vtecs came in 5x trims....(you will find it on Civic Vti, CRX Del Sol VXi, Civic Vi, Domani, Integra ZXi/ZX came only with regular Sohc ZCs in FI and Dual carb version (even after 94))
1.5 sohc vtec-e 94ps (d15b)
1.5 sohc vtec 130ps (d15b)
1.5 sohc vtec 3stage 130ps (96+ cars, torque improved, as well as mid range) (d15b)
1.6 sohc vtec 130 ps (ZC)
1.6 sohc vtec 130ps (d16a, imported from US, into a Civic coupe)

teins are excellent....the only thing is that the perches, seize easily...also they rust...
Lip is an 96 JDM ITR, modified to fit (cut 1-2" in the middle and simply attach it)

Nice car, another person who likes there SOHC engine
Just wonderin did you say
you have GSR throttle body--what year is that? power gains?
Humm just wonderin
I have a 1.6 VTEC SOHC
could that same GSR Throttle body fit my car as well?
Is it aftermarket or stock GSR?

Re: my EG4 VTi - project F__K dohc side (azn_outlaw)
yes you can use 92+ b-series, GSR, LS, ITR and even H22a ......just bolts up...
gsr will require your old TB pulley to be installed on it to work with your TB/accelerator cable....
as far power gains who knows seems, peepier...also it still needs to be port matched there is like 4+mm difference in between the two...

Re: my EG4 VTi - project F__K dohc side (AshlandSi)
s20 is on most eg d-series trannies...there is two kinds of LSD equipped d-series hydro trannies...
ZC DOHC vers. uses a half shaft, so regular axles, do not work (much bigger inner diameter, same as b-series)
Vti, is like the USDM....look for a LSD stamp and/or if you see no bar/prong when you look through differential, you got a LSD

Re: my EG4 VTi - project F__K dohc side (lazyvietboi)
rim is a 15x6.5" on 195/50r15 tires (weights 29lbs with tire (rim is 12lbs))
Tein rates are f10kg/mm r8kg/mm (yes they do have a helper springs, but since the front is light, now with the sohc motor, i had to remove it)
(paid just under $1000)
yes it used to be EG4 first, then EG6, as in complete (everything was JDM oem, SiRII including the rear hatch area), but I converted it back to EG4 and some USDM specs....which is much cooler.....
winter spec rims (bronze 97 specs GSRs)

Re: my EG4 VTi - project F__K dohc side (garagespecial)
Bad *** exhaust. Its basically the same as the Skunk2 right? DO you have problems with the piping dragging the ground? Love the gsr wheels too! Sweet package...
