Default my EG. finally...

finally picked up my EG about a week ago.

j-spec B16A
Koni Yellows with Progress Springs
16" Konig Traffiks
custom cat-back with dyno-max muffler (looks stock )
oh yeah K&N Filtercharger ( )
no AC no Radio no Power steering (but I have the PS rack.)
genuine imitation JDM amber corners
JDM SiR clock (adds at least 10 hp)

it's a bit of a sleeper.

First I want to get it up to a decent stock like configuration, like a passenger side mirror, shift boot (was an auto) and a gauge-pod that has a tach in it (USDM Si or JDM SiR). Plus a paint job at some point.

of course there's tons of engine stuff to do. I think the next step might be a VTEC controller and some cam gears. maybe internal stuff like pistons and cams. possibly a turbo in the future.

and the suspension needs work. that might come before any engine work.

all depends on the cash-flow situation.

i think they're about 12 pounds without tires. they're pretty light for the price, that's partly why i got them.

Actually, his exhaust is probably flowing just fine for an NA B16A. A custom catback dynomax setup may not be the biggest bragging point, but it does flow better than stock.

Suspension mods will give big satisfaction. You already have a fairly quick combo, so the suspension will make the car shine in this current configuration.

Good luck with it. B16 EG's are the bomb.

Yeahz ... I agree that a custom cat back might not be all so great .. but it does get more torq and hp high end ... sacrificing low end .. and besides ... b16's are made to rev to 6800.. with a little fixing up of the engine, + remappin of ECU ... it'll be able to go to 7200rpm without a hitch. And b16's (well in the jdm.. I"m in asia.. we get jdm's)

for the b16a... there are 2 engines..

B16A ver 1 => 1595cc DOHC VTEC, 150ps(auto)/160ps(man)
B16A ver 2 => 1595cc DOHC VTEC, 155ps(auto)/170ps(man)


I still feel a nice exhaust .. like the greddy evo would be nice

free flowing .... heavy revin. ... WHOO HOO !!


Suspension mods + struts are .. what I feel .. the second MOST impt after power ... it gives you a nice feel to the car ... handling and all ...

B16's rev to more than that! It makes peak hp at 7800 and certainly rev over 8k rpm.

To me, driver is the first most important upgrade, then tires, then suspension, then power.
