Default My dyno (nothing exciting...I/H/E B16)

This is really not that interesting, but it was my first run so I had to post it

B16A2 (42k miles)
Comptech Icebox
Comptech intake arm
DC Sports JDM 4-1 header (with big dents in the bottom primaries)
SMS Products cat (2.5" in and out)
2.5" mandrel bent piping
T1R axle-back muffler

I was pretty happy. I was hoping for anything at ~145, so...

all motors are different.....My last car (88 crx si) had a 1st gen B16a with intake, dc 4-1, and shitty exhaust made 151hp + 111tq @ wheels.... another previous car (90 civic dx hb) with a 1st gen b16a with intake, header and exhaust made 146.2hp and 106tq......every engine is different, some are strong, some are weak....

Yes.

Or we try to anyway.

Our next one is going to be in conjunction with the H-T meet on the 22nd.

That's a flat ******* power curve! How did you manage to pull off a curve that just increases and never has any ripples in it aside from VTEC engagement where the curve jumps even more?? Yay for B16's

His power curve could have been affected by the smoothing factor of the dyno. But I honestly would hope to see more power from your car. Not trying to put you down, but maybe you should try a brand name cat back. Also try out the unorthodox pullies they helped me out alot. I will soon post my dynos in the integra forum and if you guys wanna see it I'll post it on here.

Just one run? Or did you do some tuning?

I've thought about that.

But I'm planning to go cams in the near (hopefully) future + headwork and no "name brands" make a 2.5" catback for the Sol.

piscorpio: Yes just one run. No tuning. The place was fairly busy at the time (they were in the middle of tuning a twin turbo Corvette), so they just let me do one run for a discount

"Aw, look at this little car...lets give the cute little guy a dyno run" Nice of them to throw the little dog a bone.

Well, you got your baseline run, tune that bitch so we can see how much of a difference it makes.

i think the AEM is more effective at cold air induction.

LOL. Yeah. The place is like half domestic guys and half import guys.

And they all know they're ****. They do custom turbo work (they made the Corvette kit) and are complete car guys.

I want to get it tuned. Believe me. But I'm holding out for a Hondata setup. Once I get that I'll throw my Spoon header on and get the whole thing tuned...that probably won't be until the summer though.

Nice dyno

Thanks

I'd like to come back to the lovely Midwest this summer. Early on, like right after school is over. Hopefully that'll be possible. We'll see. It'd be interesting to see what da 'ville has going on in terms of any decent. I somehow doubt things change much in a year though Does high school rice still abound?

Remember, he has a b16. As mentioned, they are "torqueless wonders" of the world. I would be very happy with those #s with just bolt-ons.. The flat curve is nice..
Wonder what my torqueless POS with just I/E puts down..
