Default My car sounds like a sewing machine

I was just wondering my engine makes like a tick, tick, tick, tick sound like ever second, its not loud or anything, my friend says it sounds like a sewing machine, is this normal? I just hit 90k miles last week.

If the clicking sound is coming from under the valve cover, then try adjusting the valve clearance.

Do you guys think its my timing belt? I heard I have to change it at 90k miles, or does that have nothing to do with the sound?

if it ticks when it idles, then its a valve, if it ticks when you hit the gas, then its something with the exhaust/headers... a leak. I have that same problem dude, bothers the **** out of me, and ive seen several threads very similar to this one
