Is my car prewired for vtec?
N00B question: i'll be swapping a b18c1 from a 94 or 95 gsr into my 1993 civic cx hatchback. Ive found alot on wiring in vtec, but do i need to do it, or is my car already wired for it?

beat me to it.
my friends 92 dx was, my friends del sol is, only thing you will need to wire is knock and IAB. but here is the catch. it isnt on the engine harness, but it is from the strut tower to the ecu.

alright, so my car doesnt have it. "Unseen Racer" says there is a wiring harness i can buy, is it worth buying the whole harness or just wiring it yourself?

Re: Is my car prewired for vtec?
thanks for the link, i mean that would be pretty easy just to plug in and go, but if its not to difficult i'll probably just wire it myself. Thanks for all the help, i really appreciate it.

U dnt have 2 buy anything just get wires and cut and sadder back together or tape...the diagram shows everything..if your doing the p72 ecu i would highly recommend the knock sensor it adds a good 10hp...and get the butterfly's to work it would be real strong..
