i have a d16y7 i picked up a used zex kit because i wanted some cheap horsepower, i purchased zex nitrous plugs and 94 octane, i had the kit installed but the bottle wasnt filled last night, however i was out with my buddy in his b16+spray crx. So anywhoo, we are bored, and he is like, "yo simon, we are spraying ur car tonite". I was kinda paranoid because all i had were the plugs and the octane i was purchasing a walbro 255 the next day... but i decided anyways what harm could a 55 shot do

so we hook everything up, bottle pressure was only 600 psi, which was hurting he told me that was like a 30 shot i wouldnt even get a full one like if i sprayed from a 950-1000

damn its a nice little difference the thng makes, even for only a 600 psi spray it feels good. we pulled the plugs immiedately after, no spots or nothing just TANNNNNNNN.

anywhoo, i was wondering what the biggest shot i can run on this motor, im picking up a walbro 255lph today and i already have the plugs and 94 octane , as well i am going to retard my timing 1 degree, is a 75 shot fesible?

and i heard zex rated their shots at the crank not at the wheels like other kits, is this true?

thats awesome man, i love that feeling when its 10+ more hp.. runs threw you quick. I would just carry that feeling, and save up. Think about how awesome it would feel to run 13's, or even 11's... no limmits man, run the 55 now..

k, check this out..

check your plugs,
check your wires,
change oil,
re-do your grounds
get a second job (sneaked in)
work 10-15 more hours a week(sorry, but its worth it)
build a motor(5-8 months)
run a 125-150 shot...

then post how happy you are. i promise the feeling will impact your life. It's a good thing, do it up.

job is covered when i get my vacataion pay (aka big bucks) im going to debate whether i want to build this d-series for boost or if i want to swap a b-series motor, im still debating but in the meantime i picked up this kit and it feels great all the work has been done by me or by me and my buddy experienced with hondas, its great!

**** the D series. the motor's arent the problem with them..it's the weak tranny's. i've spent a good bit of money and time in my D series and overall i'd much rather have a B series. just a better motor overall IMO. i would just get a B swap and go from there if i were you....thats what I had wished i had done. i mean it's fun pulling on B series w/ a SOHC, but i'd have so much more potential with a B...

i hear ya, one thing i hate about this car is the long gears, it makes driving it hard so boring waiting for the next gear to slowly wind out
