Default My 99 si, new here

Here are some pics of my 99 si I just got. It has tons of suspension/engine work done. I love it, but previous owner had car tuned a little weird. I can tell you that I dont like the obd2 system already. I had to fix some things to get rid of some mil's but now just having an issue with idle at some times. I think it is the bigger injectors, have stockers to put in as soon as I get some clips. Anyone have any let me know, Thanks. Here are the pics, enjoy.

Can also check out my turbo sentra se-r on my cardomain site. Hope you guys like. http://www.cardomain.com/id/blckser

thats a really clean car, especially the engine bay, props to you but i prefer buying a car that has no mods done to it... i just like to start from scratch, its a lot more fun that way but if you got a good deal then hell yah.

not sure why but i never liked the si tail lights

I did all work on my turbo sentra by myself, I just wanted a daily driver better the my focus. This car was very clean and done pretty well. I can fix anything that I have too with this car. It will make a much better daily driver. Thanks though. I know u mean about fun with doing your own work, my sentra doesnt hook up till 4th gear, lol.

If its running larger injectors, was "tuned" by the previous owner, had MILS, and runs like ***, then its most likely been converted to OBD-1 and is not OBD-2. If it was OBD-2 and completely stock then you would have 0 complaints. Don't jump on the bandwagon and play the "I hate OBD-2" game just yet.

Just passed emissions with it, and wouldnt if it was obd1. The system would have knew it wasnt obd2. It has a vafc, that is it. The only reason I said I didnt like obd2 is that it isnt liking mods that older cars could get away with, thats all. It doesnt run like *** either, runs great, but thanks.

fIRST OFF,.... Hello and welcome to HT. Its a great site,.. helpfull and full of info about honda's,... glad to have a new member. However, BEFORE you post anything else,.. read the rules. These guys will help you but if you do something wrong (like this thread) prepare for some flaming and moderator punishment. Read theserules)
Things that won't be tolerated:
> Excessive flaming for no reason
> Posts with no techincal content
> eBay Ads
> Classifieds ads
> Picture threads
> "I got scammed by..." threads
> "Search n00b". If you tell someone to search, you had better provide them with a helpful link. This explains how to use the search function: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=979961

Things you can do to help:
> Search before you post
> If you make a post and are not 100% sure about the information, please say so. It's frustrating to be told one thing, then find it to be completely different once you are in the middle of a project.

You have foglights... You bastard, I'm jealous. I've had a chipped OBD-2 ECU since I bought my car and I'm happy with it. And no offense, but you have to lose the "rims". Enjoy

I dont know, as long as it has no mil lights then you pretty much pass. Here in pa if you are 95 and newer you get ecu plugged into and done that way, older you get just a visual for emissions stuff.

Any modification to the ECU itself would be a fail on visual. since the VAFC directly alters the signals the ECU puts out, its considered a modification. Its an automatic failure on the visual, at least in California.

96 was the first year of OBD-2 and thus the first year of the data ports. Only a few select number of manufactures implemented them in the 95 model year. There would be no way to "plug into" the ECU on an OBD-1 car unless you used some kind of test harness like Honda had for testing various voltages at specific points/pins.
